Founder of Spirit Yoga
After teaching yoga in Los Angeles for many years, Patricia Thielemann founded Spirit Yoga in 2004 in Berlin at Hackescher Markt. With three locations, Spirit Yoga is now one of the largest yoga studios locations in Europe. Ms. Thielemann’s work as a yoga pioneer consistently informs her enlightened, cohesive and structured yoga-style. For nearly 15 years, her work has shaped the identity of modern yoga in the German-speaking countries in order to find a better-way to master the challenges of modern-day life.
Patricia’s ever-evolving practice, her love of the unusual, her discipline, and her sensitivity continue to inform the Spirit Yoga method and technique.
Ms. Thielemann has also produced a successful line of educational CDs and DVDs devoted to yoga practice. As an author, she published ‘Spirit Yoga: Living with Honesty, Strength and Clarity’ through Güters Loher Publishing House and her book on Prenatal Yoga is now in its 4th edition through GU Publishing. She had a monthly newspaper column with the national newspaper, ‘Der Tagesspiegel,’ and she can be seen in interviews and articles across the many yoga magazines throughout the Germany-speaking world and at many international Conferences such as TEDx, and Future Day.
Due to her reputation for excellence, Patricia’s Spirit Yoga’s (200 hr and 500 hr Yoga Alliance-approved) Teacher Trainings, and her Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training are highly-sought after programs in Germany. Along with her career, the mother of two, committed Yogini, and successful entrepreneur convincingly practices what she preaches when she says: “Step into your Light!”
